Job summary

First Neighbor Bank in Greenup, IL is hiring a Bank Teller to deliver friendly, accurate service in a community‑minded atmosphere. You will process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and provide cash handling that supports the branch's daily goals.

The role includes promoting online banking, selling bank products, and assisting customers with inquiries while balancing a cash drawer and maintaining accuracy in all transactions.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred; 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrates accuracy in cash handling and balancing cash drawer.
• Strong customer service and sales skills; able to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Processes deposits, withdrawals, and loan payments using teller systems; balances and closes transaction batches; issues receipts after verification.
• Balances currency and coins in cash drawer; handles cash-to-vault transactions.
• Promotes bank e-services (online banking, mobile deposits, e-statements); sells bank products; makes referrals to investment/tax offices.
• Processes and balances payments (utilities, licenses), coin counter, ATM transactions, and credit card cash advances.
• Assists customers with inquiries; refers to CSRs for new accounts or changes.
• Answers phones and transfers calls as needed.
