Job summary

NBT Bank in Norwich, CT is hiring for an Operations Associate role. The position supports monetary and non-monetary transactions, data verification and input, and reconciliation activities that impact customer accounts and real-time banking information.

You will follow established procedures, assist with training, and help uphold internal controls in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, organizational skills, and basic accounting/computer skills are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associates Degree preferred
• Professional and/or customer service experience preferred
• Ability to follow procedures and interrogate data

Responsibilities

• Process a variety of monetary and non-monetary tasks and/or transactions as assigned, including account maintenance, verifications, reconciliations, complex transactions, and exception item resolution
• Provide support to internal and external customers and cover other team duties as required
• Maintain ongoing compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, adhere to policies, procedures and internal controls to mitigate risk and fraud
• Uphold service level standards under normal conditions
• Assist with new employee training and onboarding
• Perform other duties as assigned
