Job summary

Sovereign Bank is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager in Lawton, OK, to assist the Branch Manager in daily operations and customer service excellence. You will supervise teller staff, train new associates, and ensure compliance with bank policies within a busy branch environment.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree preferred, 3 years of banking retail experience, supervision experience preferred, and strong knowledge of banking regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or related field preferred.
• 3 years banking experience in retail banking required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of bank compliance regulations, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate teller services and respond to customer requests or problems.
• Train new employees for teller operations at the branch.
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed and take corrective action when needed.
• Manage teller drawer and vault audits as required.
• Handle outages by researching, counting drawers, and resolving issues.
• Maintain daily teller line schedules, including arrivals, lunch breaks, and departures.
• Oversee opening/closing duties, supplies, and mail for the branch.
• Enter transactions into banking records via teller terminal and verify deposits.
• Balance cash drawers and coin vaults daily; maintain adequate cash supply.
• Process change orders, loan payments, and sale of money orders or gift cards.
• Comply with regulatory requirements (BSA, Reg CC, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
