Job summary

Contech is seeking a Band Operator for our Greencastle, PA plant. You will handle large equipment, operate forklifts and cranes, and assist with the production of band sheets used in drainage and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include following schedules, pre/post-shift paperwork, and quality control. The team emphasizes hands-on training, a collaborative environment, and continuous improvement.

• Completes pre-shift daily audit.
• Operates forklift, coil buggy, or overhead crane to position sheets.
• Adjusts rolls to form correct diameter.
• Feeds band sheet into roll form.
• Welds fasteners to formed band sheet (spot/hand welds).
• Paints welds if necessary.
• Moves finished product to designated areas.
• Completes production/quality control paperwork.
• Completes post-shift daily paperwork.
• Maintains equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Other duties assigned.

We are looking for a BAND OPERATOR to join our Greencastle, PA plant. As a large equipment operator with Contech you will contribute to America’s essential infrastructure including drainage systems, pipe, bridges and structures, and stormwater management.

About the Role

• Selects correct sheet type/length based off of daily band schedule.
• Operates Forklift, coil buggy, or overhead crane to position sheets at rolls.
• Adjusts rolls to form correct diameter.
• Feeds band sheet into roll form.
• Spot welds or hand welds various types of fasteners to formed band sheet.
• Paints welds if necessary.
• Moves finished product to designated areas.
• Completes production/quality control paperwork.
• Completes post-shift daily paperwork.
• Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly fashion.
• Other duties assigned.
