Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 13-week Stepdown RN assignment in Baltimore, MD. This role offers 36 hours per week on a 12-hour day shift, with competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

You will monitor telemetry, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality cardiac-focused care to patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN
• Current Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC)
• Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) Certification
• NIHSS Certification

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care
• Prepares equipment and assists physician during cardiac-related procedures
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety of telemetry patients
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and risk factors
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care
• Adheres to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines
