Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in Washington, DC. You will work 36 hours per week on 12-hour night shifts, providing stepdown care and monitoring for patients transitioning from ICU to medical-surgical units.

Required: 1 year Stepdown RN experience, active RN license in DC, BLS and ACLS certifications. PCCN/NIHSS certs are preferred. Join our traveler-focused team offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
Current RN license in compliance with state regulations.
BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

Monitors and interprets telemetry data and vital signs, responding to abnormalities.
Administers medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care.
Prepares equipment and assists physicians during cardiac procedures.
Maintains comfort and safety of telemetry patients.
Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
Initiates patient education on cardiac health and risk factors.
