Job summary

The San Diego Padres are seeking a Lead, Ballpark Security (Day Shift) to supervise daily security operations at Petco Park, directing Ballpark Security Officers and acting as Security Manager on Duty for events. You will monitor surveillance, coordinate incident responses, and ensure compliance with MLB BSOP and SOPs.

Ideal candidates have BSIS certification, strong communication, and the ability to lead a diverse team in a fast-paced environment. English/Spanish bilinguals are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have BSIS guard certification or equivalent.
• Five 8-hour shifts per week, variable hours.
• Experience in large public assembly facilities preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Fluency in English/Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily security operations and staffing.
• Conduct shift briefings and ensure officer training.
• Monitor surveillance systems and coordinate incident responses.
• Maintain incident logs, investigations, and audits.
• Lead escalated issues with patrons, VIPs, and staff.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and BSIS regulations.
• Coordinate event security for games and large gatherings.
• Assist in recruiting, training, and supervision of staff.
