Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate the baler and forklift.
• Weigh bales and report weights to management.
• Load trailers and take bale photos at various fill levels (empty to full).
• Record waste data in Excel and maintain accurate logs.
• Maintain housekeeping in baler room and perform basic baler maintenance.

We are in search of a highly-motivated, self-driven BALER OPERATOR to join our successful teams!HEALTHCARE BENEFITS START AT 30 DAYSPTO/PSTO ACCRUAL UPON HIRE DATEPROFIT SHARING & GAIN SHARING OPPORTUNITIESCOMPANY-PAID BENEFITS SUCH AS BASIC LIFE ANDSHORT TERM DISABILITY401K WITH COMPANY MATCHEDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCEJob Summary:The purpose of the baler operator is to shred waste from the presses as well as to weigh the bales of scrap that are produced, and load them onto a trailer for shipping overseas.Essential Job Functions:Operate the BalerOperate a fork liftRe-wire the baler when the spools get lowOperate the hoggerAccurately record weights from each bale and turn in this information to management for processingPlace dunnage that can be used by the presses in the appropriate areasMaintain good housekeeping practices in the baler roomPerform basic maintenance to the baler, i.e. blowing down the ram sectionLoad the trailers and take pictures with zero bales, half way full, and completely full.Other Functions:Enter waste data into an excel spreadsheetIn addition to the functions listed above, the employee is expected to: exercise honesty, integrity and respect with all clients and co-workers, maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, demonstrate a positive attitude, communicate effectively with co-workers and clients, work with accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail, maintain good attendance by working when and where directed, work safely in compliance with all safety policies, respect the work environment and keep it as neat and clean as possible, and exercise initiative to learn new skills and tasks and to help co-workers when possible.
