Job summary

Co-Dough in Newport, RI is seeking a reliable Bakery Utility & Prep Associate to help keep the bakery clean, stocked, organized, and ready for production each day. This hands-on, physical role combines bakery prep, inventory, stocking, cleaning, and general support.

You will move throughout your shift, perform end-of-day cleanup, record daily counts, restock supplies, rotate inventory using FIFO, and assist the production team as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete end-of-day cleaning and bakery reset
• Wash dishes, equipment, sheet pans, bins, and utensils
• Sweep, mop, take out trash, and break down cardboard
• Clean and organize production areas, storage areas, coolers, and backstock
• Take inventory and accurately record daily counts
• Notify management when ingredients, packaging, beverages, or supplies are running low
• Receive, check, organize, and put away deliveries
• Rotate inventory using FIFO and check expiration dates
• Restock ingredients, packaging, and supplies
• Assist with basic bakery and ingredient prep
• Weigh and organize ingredients as needed
• Move and organize flour, sugar, oil, boxes, and other bulk supplies
• Assist the production team with general support tasks as needed

Co-Dough is looking for a reliable, hardworking Bakery Utility & Prep Associate to help keep our bakery clean, stocked, organized, and ready for production each day.

This is a hands-on, physical position that combines bakery prep, inventory, stocking, cleaning, and general support. A major responsibility of this role is making sure the bakery is fully cleaned, organized, and reset at the end of the day so the next day's team is ready to go.
