Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Austin is seeking an entry-level Team Member to support the Bakery team by receiving and preparing products, stocking shelves, and providing friendly, proactive service to customers. You will help with displays, pricing, and maintaining a clean, safe bakery area in line with WFM standards.

You must enjoy working on the floor, collaborating with teammates, and adapting to a fast-paced environment while upholding store policies and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked.
• Stocks and cleans shelves, bins, and display areas.
• Monitors and prevents spoilage and communicates waste to buyers, Team Leaders, and shift supervisor.
• Assists with sampling program, keeping sample areas full, clean and appealing.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned by store, regional, or national leadership.
