Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Lafayette, LA is seeking a Team Member to support Bakery operations—receiving and preparing products, stocking shelves, and maintaining displays to WFM standards.

You will handle deliveries, assist with sampling programs, engage customers with friendly, proactive service, and work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; full training is provided.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to follow SOPs and health/safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Keep cases and shelves clean, stocked, front-faced, and rotated.
• Stock and clean shelves, bins, and display areas.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste to managers.
• Maintain back stock in good order.
• Assist with sampling program; keep sample areas full.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrive on time, well-groomed, and prepared for shifts.
• Provide excellent customer service and use suggestive selling.
• Maximize sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, and merchandising.
• Follow health, safety and Weights & Measures procedures.
• Maintain clean, sanitary work and shopping environment.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties; verify pricing.
• Report safety hazards and violations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
