Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Lafayette, LA is seeking a Bakery Team Member to support the bakery area with receiving, stocking, and displaying products, while delivering friendly, efficient service following WFM standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining clean displays, assisting with samples, inventory, and customer service. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.

Responsibilities

• Keep cases and shelves clean, stocked and front-faced.
• Stock and clean shelves, bins, and display areas.
• Monitor spoilage and communicate waste.
• Maintain back stock.
• Assist with sampling program.
• Assist with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives to work on time, groomed and ready to work; attends trainings.
• Provide excellent customer service and suggestive selling; answer phones promptly.
• Maximize sales through proper merchandising and storage procedures.
• Follow health, sanitation and safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment; ensure equipment cleanliness and safety.
• Perform opening, mid, and closing duties with pricing accuracy.
• Report safety hazards and violations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
