Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a motivated Team Member to support the Bakery department, stock shelves, assist with deliveries, and provide friendly service to customers and team members. The role emphasizes product handling, safety, and adherence to company standards across opening, mid, and closing shifts.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, maintain clean displays, and work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, front-facing, rotated, and checking codes.
• Stocks and cleans shelves, bins, and display areas.
• Monitors and prevents spoilage and communicates waste to buyers and supervisors.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program and keeps sample areas full and tidy.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Arrives on time, groomed, and ready to work; completes required trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers promptly, and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows procedures including health, sanitation, and safe work practices.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working/shopping environment; equipment maintained to standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing signs are accurate.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
