Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Bakery Team Member in Chesapeake, VA to proof and bake unfinished bakery goods, display items, and maintain safety standards in the bakery department.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, taking special orders, packaging baked goods, rotating stock, and keeping equipment clean while following food safety guidelines. Must be at least 18 and have bakery or customer service experience.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred.
• Knowledge of bakery products preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods following item handling information.
• Unpacks bakery goods and displays proper amounts based on production charts.
• Packages baked goods and labels items with price tickets.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety standards in the bakery area.
• Performs other duties in the department as needed.
