Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Team Member to support daily bakery operations, including proofing, baking, packaging and display of all bakery goods. You will ensure product freshness, proper labeling and pricing, while upholding safety standards and club policies to enhance the member experience.

The role emphasizes teamwork, speed and accuracy in a fast-paced environment, with focus on delivering high-quality bakery items and friendly service to members.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred.
• Knowledge of bakery products preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions and recommend bakery items.
• Answer Member calls and take special orders.
• Proofs and bakes all unfinished bakery goods following product handling information.
• Uses bakery production charts for production and display needs.
• Packages freshly baked goods including cookies, Danish pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes and more.
• Unpacks bakery goods from the freezer and displays proper amounts according to production charts.
• Decorates special orders or case products.
• Rotates and stores bakery products following food safety and handling policies.
• Receives, inspects, and stores bakery shipments.
• Ensures items are accurately priced and labeled.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment and surfaces in the bakery.
