Job summary

ShopRite of East Haven is seeking a Bakery Baker to support the Bakery Manager in daily operations, including baking, dough mixing, icing, and packaging of pastry and bread items. The role emphasizes food safety, department cleanliness, and customer service in a fast-paced grocery setting.

Qualified applicants should be able to read and communicate in English, stand for long shifts, lift up to 25–50 lbs, and work in varying temperatures while maintaining QA standards and adhering to company

Qualifications

• The minimum qualifications include ability to read, write, speak English and understand basic instructions.
• Must stand/walk for the duration of a shift and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and handle food products safely.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a great customer experience while assisting Bakery Manager in daily operations.
• Bake, mix dough, ice, package and fill designated pastry and bread items.
• Maintain neat, clean department and follow safety and QA standards.
• Follow recipes, operate equipment, rotate merchandise, and track inventory weekly.
• Perform duties in accordance with company policies and health regulations.
