Job summary

Der Dutchman Restaurant Bellville is hiring for a bakery/food prep role within our hospitality team. You'll bake pies, bread and doughnuts, operate mixers and standard equipment, and follow established recipes to produce consistent results.

Qualifications

• Communication skills required.
• Detail oriented with careful recipe following.
• Ability to read and understand recipes.
• Lift and/or move 10 to 30 pounds.
• SafeServ certification – training can be provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Bake pies, bread and doughnuts
• Use electric mixers and other equipment
• Use established recipes
• Mix ingredients consistently
• Adjust oven temperatures
• Check baked goods for quality
• Check production schedule to determine what and how much to bake
• Clean prep areas
• Price baked goods and stock shelves and coolers in retail area
