Job summary

ShopRite of Bernardsville seeks a Bakery Clerk to support the Bakery Manager with daily operations, pricing, stocking and rotation. You will maintain a clean, visually appealing department and assist customers with courtesy and accuracy.

The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in varying temperatures, and comply with safety and QA standards; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Must be 18 years or older to operate certain equipment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a great customer experience in the Bakery Department.
• Assist Bakery Manager with daily operations, pricing, stocking, and rotation.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and visually appealing department.
• Follow safety, QA, and sanitation standards in all duties.
• Check prices and locate items; promote current promotions.
• Stand at workstation for long shifts and work overtime as needed.
