Job summary

ShopRite of Bayville is seeking a Baker to assist the Bakery Manager with baking, dough mixing, icing, packaging and filling pastries and bread items. Maintain a neat, clean and visually appealing department in the Bakery.

Role requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing through shifts, and working in varying temperatures while delivering friendly customer service and supporting other departments as needed.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak, analyze and understand English.
• Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a shift.
• Regularly lift up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures.
• Ability to handle food products and allergens.
• Ability to interact with customers in a friendly manner.
• Team coordination and reliable attendance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, neat, organized bakery area.
• Assist Bakery Manager with daily operations and recipes.
• Prepare and bake pastries and breads per recipes.
• Package and present items attractively for customers.
• Follow safety, sanitation and QA standards.
• Support other departments when required.
