Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Bakery Department Lead in Salt Lake City, UT to drive sales, supervise hourly associates, and champion quality and safety across the bakery. You will model bakery expertise, lead through change, and collaborate with other team leaders to meet member expectations.

You will leverage handheld technology to plan production, train staff, and monitor product quality while ensuring compliance with company standards and food safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: 6 months experience in a bakery production department or 6 months supervising a team.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bakery production including decorating, Supervising Associates.
• Food Handler Certification (Food Safety).

Responsibilities

• Lead Bakery team to meet business goals and ensure quality and safety.
• Use handheld tech to plan, train, and monitor production and product quality.
• Maintain a clean, safe bakery area and manage staffing for weekly volumes.
• Train and develop team, ensure knowledge of products and recipes.
