Job summary

Raley's in Phoenix is seeking an Assistant Bakery Team Lead to support a high-performing bakery department, ensuring the freshest products and excellent customer service.

You will direct bakery staff, manage daily operations when the lead is away, coordinate orders, merchandising, and pricing, and uphold health and safety standards. This role offers a competitive weekly paycheck, benefits, and opportunities to develop in-store leadership.

Qualifications

• Experience directing bakery staff and meeting department goals.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide excellent customer service.
• Knowledge of bakery merchandising and product quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Direct bakery department personnel, meeting department’s goals and objectives.
• Manage bakery operations when the bakery team lead is not on duty.
• Communicate directly with the bakery team lead, store director and bakery specialist.
• Order supplies and products to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Merchandise bakery goods in accordance with merchandising standards.
• Execute and support all sales and merchandising initiatives.
• Serve as the leader of the department, act as coach and trainer for the team.
• Ensure compliance with health department and weights and measures requirements.
• Monitor pricing, signage, and placement including shelf tags and signage.
• Keep the check stand/sales counter and production areas clean and organized.
• Wrap, box, weigh, slice, finish, and stock bakery products, rotate for quality and safety.
• Take customer orders and ensure timely completion to satisfaction.
• All other related duties as assigned
