Job summary

Aspire Bakeries LLC in Swedesboro, NJ is seeking an Operator 1, Bakery-Starter Room for the 2nd Shift. You will prepare and monitor white and organic starter processes, ensure product quality and food safety, and support production schedules with accurate documentation.

We offer a 2nd shift from 2:00PM to 10:30PM, with weekends required, and an hourly pay of $20. Previous experience in bakery or fermentation is preferred; bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of operator experience in manufacturing or food production.
• Able to follow recipes, process instructions, and SOPs.
• Basic math: add, subtract, multiply, divide.
• Operate starter mixing equipment and process controls as needed.
• Document production data using SAP or similar systems.
• Read scales and temperature/process indicators accurately.
• Capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and mix starter ingredients per recipes and production schedules.
• Monitor fermentation, temperature, and starter characteristics.
• Operate and maintain starter room equipment (tanks, dosing, liquefiers).
• Perform CIP procedures to ensure sanitation and food safety.
• Complete production documentation and SAP data entry for traceability.
• Maintain inventory awareness of ingredients and starter materials.
• Uphold quality and safety standards in a clean, organized environment.
