Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create welcoming environment for customers by answering questions about products in-store.
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions with recommendations.
• Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery specials.
• Provide customers with fresh, correctly portioned products to minimize shrink.
• Recommend bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Use all bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to logs, temperatures, and cooking instructions.
• Measure and mix ingredients as recipes require.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude and be familiar with store layout.
• Stay current with ads and inventory levels.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and temperature controls.
