Job summary

Kroger Bakery is seeking a Bakery Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service, keep the bakery clean and safe, and ensure a welcoming environment for shoppers. You will prepare items per customer requests and help customers discover new treats.

As a team member, you will assist the department manager in meeting sales and quality standards, follow safety guidelines, and embody Kroger’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Qualifications

• Desire to gain an understanding of food production and basic cooking techniques.

Responsibilities

• Bakery Clerk will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Bakery Team Member should offer product samples to help customers discover new items or products they inquire about.
• Bakery Clerk will inform customers of bakery specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products that they have ordered and the correct portion size to prevent shrink.
• Promote trust and respect among associates and create a welcoming environment for customers.
