Qualifications

• Knowledge of baking methods and ingredients (Mexican, Central American, and American pastries).
• Experience using bakery equipment, ovens, and tools.
• Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment and mentor others.
• Basic computer and math skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Basic understanding of English language.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: Greet customers with a smile and assist with bakery and cake orders in-store or by phone.
• Baking & Preparation: Prepare doughs, batters, and mixtures for breads, cakes, and pastries; monitor oven temperatures for quality.
• Merchandising: Stock and rotate baked goods, maintain displays, promote sales through suggestive selling.
• Food Safety: Follow Bakery Safety Program, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Teamwork: Assist coworkers, report unsafe acts or equipment, maintain a clean department environment.
• Operations: Pack, weigh, price merchandise; minimize waste; transport products to storage.
• Other Duties: Clean equipment, maintain countertops, and perform additional tasks.
