Qualifications

• Knowledge of baking methods and ingredients (Mexican & Central American pastries, etc.).
• Experience using bakery equipment, ovens, and tools.
• Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a smile and assist with bakery and cake orders in-store or by phone.
• Prepare doughs, batters, and mixtures for breads, cakes, and pastries; monitor oven and proofer temperatures for quality.
• Stock and rotate baked goods, maintain displays, and promote sales through suggestive selling.
• Follow Bakery Safety Program, sanitize properly, and comply with health code regulations.
• Assist coworkers, report unsafe acts, and support a clean, organized department environment.
• Pack, weigh, and price merchandise; minimize waste and transport items to/from storage.
