Job summary

The Safeway bakery division of Albertsons Companies Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented Baker to prepare fresh breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts using trusted recipes.

You will measure, mix, shape, and bake products, decorate items, and ensure consistent quality from start to finish. You will keep a clean, organized work area, rotate and label ingredients, and help display goods in attractive cases while coordinating with the bakery team to meet daily production needs.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform bakery tasks and follow recipes accurately.
• Experience in customer service or retail is preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items as needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts using established recipes and methods.
• Measure, mix, shape, bake, and decorate products; maintain quality and presentation.
• Organize and maintain a clean, safe work area; rotate and label ingredients.
• Assist customers with questions, take special orders, and support a positive in-store experience.
• Collaborate with bakery team to plan daily production and ensure timely service.
