Job summary

Safeway in Port Angeles is seeking a dedicated Baker to prepare breads, pastries, cakes and desserts from established recipes, measuring, mixing, shaping and baking with consistent quality. You will organize a clean workstation, rotate ingredients, and display items in well-stocked cases.

You’ll assist customers, take special orders, and help create a positive experience in a fast-paced environment focused on accuracy and service.

Qualifications

• Prior baking or food production experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain quality.
• Willingness to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breads, pastries, cakes and desserts using established recipes and methods.
• Measure, mix, shape, bake and decorate items while ensuring consistency and quality.
• Organize a clean, safe work area and rotate/label ingredients.
• Assist customers with product questions and take special orders in a fast-paced setting.
