Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club, Inc. is seeking a Bakery Associate to join our in-store bakery team. You will proof and bake unfinished bakery goods, follow production charts, and help with display, labeling, and case assembly to ensure freshness and quality for our members.

Responsibilities include answering member questions, taking special orders, packaging products, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in a fast-paced retail bakery environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred.
• Knowledge of bakery products preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Proof and bake all unfinished bakery goods using ovens and equipment.
• Answer questions and take special orders from Members.
• Package freshly baked goods, including cookies, pastries, muffins, breads, and other items.
• Decorate special orders or case products.
• Rotate and store bakery products following food safety and product handling policies.
• Receive, inspect, and store bakery shipments.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, display fixtures, and surfaces in the bakery.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as needed.
