Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club, Inc. is hiring for a bakery associate to support daily bakery functions, including proofing, baking, packaging, and display. You will follow production charts, ensure freshness, and provide friendly service to members in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include handling orders, decorating items, rotating stock, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the bakery department. Must be 18+ and enjoy working as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a bakery or customer service oriented environment preferred.
• Knowledge of bakery products preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Proof and bake unfinished bakery goods following item-specific handling information and production charts.
• Gathers products for the next business day and ensures proper display and safety.
• Packages freshly baked goods including cookies, pastries, muffins, rolls, breads, pies, cakes as needed.
• Decorates special orders or case product as required.
• Rotates and stores bakery products following food safety and freshness guidelines.
• Receives, inspects, and stores bakery shipments; checks product freshness daily.
• Generates labels and price tickets; performs price checks when necessary.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment, fixtures, and surfaces; operates bakery equipment safely.
• Performs other duties as assigned and supports club standards daily.
