Job summary

Kroger in Mount Pleasant, WI is seeking a Bakery/Store Associate to create an outstanding customer experience in-store. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales goals, maintain a clean, safe bakery area, and ensure quality standards for all items prepared and sold.

Responsibilities include helping customers, preparing bakery products, offering samples, and maintaining accurate temperature logs while adhering to safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates.

• Prepare bakery items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery specials.
• Provide customers with fresh products in correct portions.
• Recommend bakery items to customers to meet their needs.
• Use bakery equipment per company guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, mix ingredients with kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain a positive attitude and understand store layout.
• Stay updated with ads and inventory levels.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and arrange repairs as needed.
