Job summary

Aspire Bakeries LLC is seeking a Sanitation Lead for our Alsip, IL bakery. You will supervise sanitation operations to ensure cleanliness, food safety, and regulatory compliance, supporting production readiness and quality programs.

The role requires GMP/HACCP knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with adherence to SOPs and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in food production or related manufacturing.
• 1+ year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow safety procedures, SOPs, and documentation requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership.
• Ability to wear required PPE and perform physical sanitation duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead sanitation activities to ensure equipment and production areas meet cleanliness and food safety standards.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, allergen control, food defense, and food safety requirements.
• Document sanitation activities accurately and ensure adherence to SOPs.
• Communicate food safety, sanitation, and equipment concerns to leadership in a timely manner.
• Partner with maintenance and operations teams to support equipment readiness and operational efficiency.
• Promote workplace safety through proper PPE usage, safe work practices, and clean environments.
• Guide and support sanitation team performance to achieve quality objectives.
