Job summary

Responsibilities

• Keeps bakery department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demand.
• Smiles and greets customers, makes suggestions, answers questions about products. Helps resolve customer concerns promptly.
• Takes customer orders over the phone or in person with a positive attitude, determines size, flavor, appearance.
• Sets up special-order tables during peak hours and builds displays; may write on cakes as needed.
• Ensures merchandise is fresh, properly priced, with correct signage; handles spoiled or near-expiration products per policy.
• May assist with production of breads and pastries; adheres to production logs and approved recipes.
• Maintains general sanitation; follows cleaning schedules and health/OSHA guidelines.
• May assist with receiving, unloading, checking-in, and storing deliveries with training.
