Responsibilities

• Keeps bakery department well stocked and appealing to meet customer demand. Smiles and greets customers, makes suggestions, answers questions about products.
• Takes customer orders over the phone or in person, determines size, flavor, and appearance.
• Sets up special-order tables during peak hours and builds bakery displays; may write on cakes.
• Ensures merchandise is fresh, properly priced with signage; handles spoiled/damaged products per procedures.
• Assists with production of breads, pastries; follows production logs and recipes.
• Maintains department sanitation, follows cleaning schedules, proper disposal of trash.
