Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Knoxville is seeking a Production Operator I to contribute to a team-oriented production process, operate automated equipment, diagnose machinery issues, and assist in preventative maintenance and sanitation.

The role also requires mastery of Enterprise software data input, retrieval, and reporting, and a commitment to product safety, legality and quality. You will work in a safety-conscious environment and collaborate with teammates to meet schedules.

Qualifications

• Two (2) or more years of related experience.
• High School diploma or equivalency plus successful completion of a technical certification course (HVAC, auto maintenance/repair, etc.).
• A technical certification course may include the completion of the AIB “Science of Baking” course.

Responsibilities

• Check production work schedule and report times.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (EEO, Safety, etc.).
• Perform other duties as assigned by management to support schedules and operations.
• Maintain a clean work area at all times.
• Operate facility metal detector(s) if trained and certified.
• Follow safety rules and GMPs.
• Set up equipment and ensure continuous, efficient flow of materials.
• Verify product quality meets standards and document accordingly.
