Job summary

New York International Bread Company in Orlando, FL is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to ensure high-volume bakery production runs safely and efficiently. You will troubleshoot, repair, and prevent downtime on mixers, ovens, conveyors, slicers, and packaging systems.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, electrical and mechanical repairs, and collaboration with the production team during startups, changeovers, and breakdowns.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair industrial equipment.
• Working knowledge of electrical systems, including motors, relays, and basic controls
• Experience with VFDs, sensors, pneumatics, and motor controls
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals
• Identify root causes of equipment failures and implement solutions
• Basic welding, fabrication, or pipe work experience is a plus
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment and handle physical tasks

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment including mixers, ovens, conveyors, slicers, and packaging systems
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime
• Inspect equipment and address issues before they impact production
• Replace parts and complete mechanical and basic electrical repairs
• Support production during startups, changeovers, and breakdowns
• Use MaintainX to manage and complete work orders
• Follow all safety, GMP, and food safety procedures
• Work with the production team to keep operations running
