Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking an entry-level Bakery Team Member in San Francisco. You will prepare breads and pastries, decorate cakes, wrap and label products, and stock dry goods while delivering friendly service to customers and teammates.

You will also support production planning, maintain Datapax records, and help with seasonal recipes. Flexibility for early, late, and weekend shifts is required to meet store needs.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality breads and pastries.
• Produces doughs, mixes, cakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, pies, and bars.
• Performs baking, cooling, wrapping, and labeling of products.
• Stocks dry products.
• Develops new recipes and production techniques for seasonal variance and productivity.
• Trains production personnel to high standards.
• Performs production planning and forecasting for events.
• Maintains production modules in the Datapax system.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through prep, storage, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary working environment; equipment upkeep.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; checks prices.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
