Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a bakery team member to prepare and decorate breads and pastries, service customers, and stock products. You will train others, manage production for seasonal events, and ensure quality and cleanliness on the floor using Datapax for production modules.

A strong team player with a passion for natural foods is ideal. Flexibility to work a fast-paced environment, lift up to 50 pounds, and work evenings or weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Bread and pastry knowledge, including cake decorating.
• Positive attitude and energy for baking the best breads and pastries.
• Basic computer skills for inventory and point-of-sale tasks.
• Demonstrates cleanliness and food-safety awareness.
• Strong communication and teamwork to serve customers and teammates.
• Ability to follow procedures and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality breads and pastries.
• Produces doughs, mixes, cakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, pies, and bars.
• Performs baking, cooling, wrapping, and labeling of products.
• Stocks dry products and maintains cleanliness.
• Develops new recipes and production techniques for seasonal variance.
• Trains production personnel to high industry standards.
• Performs production planning and forecasting for events and holidays.
• Maintains Datapax production modules.
• Arrives on time, groomed, and ready to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses customer needs promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, and merchandising.
• Follows health, safety, and Weights & Measures procedures.
