Job summary

Whole Foods Market in San Francisco is seeking a Bakery Team Member to handle preparation, counter service, and stocking. You will decorate, bake, and finish cakes and pies while delivering courteous, friendly service to customers and fellow Team Members.

You will follow SOPs and support store programs and safety regulations. The role emphasizes producing high-quality breads and pastries, operating Datapax production modules, and collaborating with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality breads and pastries.
• Produces doughs, mixes, cakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, pies, and bars.
• Performs baking, cooling, wrapping, and labeling of products.
• Stocks dry products.
• Develops new recipes and production techniques for seasonal variance and high productivity.
• Trains production personnel to high standards.
• Performs production planning and forecasting for events and holidays.
• Maintains all production modules in the Datapax system.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows health, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary environment; handles equipment safely.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures accurate signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and follows leadership directions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
