Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Member for bakery production and pastry decoration. You will bake breads and pastries, assemble and decorate cakes, stock products, and support seasonal specials while ensuring high standards of quality and safety.

You’ll train staff, assist customers, and maintain cleanliness in a fast-paced environment. Applicants should be able to lift up to 50 pounds, work flexible shifts, and collaborate with team members to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of artisan breads and pastries and cake decorating.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality breads and pastries.
• Produces doughs, mixes, cakes, cookies, breakfast pastries, pies and bars.
• Performs baking, cooling, wrapping, and labeling of products.
• Stocks dry products.
• Develops new recipes and production techniques for seasonal variance.
• Trains production personnel to high standards.
• Performs production planning and forecasting for events.
• Maintains all production modules in the Datapax system.
• Arrives on time, groomed and ready to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
