Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Bakery Team Member to prepare, counter service, and stock a variety of breads and pastries. You will decorate cakes, manage production flow, and ensure a clean and friendly store environment, while following SOPs.

The role emphasizes on-time arrival, teamwork, and delivering excellent customer service, with opportunities to contribute to seasonal bakes and in-store programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of artisan breads and pastries; cake decorating.
• Demonstrates positive attitude, energy, and passion for baking the best breads and pastries.
• Basic computer skills for stocking and POS tasks.
• Demonstrates a passion for cleanliness and food safety.
• Strong teamwork and communication with staff and customers.
• Ability to follow procedures and maintain productivity in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Responsibilities

• Produces quality breads and pastries.
• Bakes, cools, wraps, and labels products.
• Stocks dry products and maintains stock levels.
• Develops new recipes and production techniques for seasonal variance.
• Trains production personnel to high standards.
• Performs production planning and forecasting for events and holidays.
• Maintains all production modules in the Datapax system.
• Delivers excellent customer service and suggests add-on sales.
• Ensures proper signs and pricing; adheres to health and safety regulations.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
