maman is a french bakery, café and lifestyle brand seeking a dedicated Prep Cook/Baker to join our team in a fast-paced environment. You will prepare pastries and menu items, supporting daily bakery and café operations with a focus on quality and presentation.

Ideal candidates are passionate about pastries, collaborative, and able to work early mornings with the BOH team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous prep cook or back-of-house kitchen experience in a café, bakery, or similar fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with pastry preparation and basic baking techniques.
• Strong knife skills and working knowledge of basic kitchen techniques.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and operational procedures.
• Strong time management, multitasking, and adaptability skills.
• Preference for pastry/bakery production experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pastries and menu items according to maman recipes following portioning and quality standards.
• Perform daily prep tasks such as chopping, measuring, mixing, and assembling ingredients.
• Utilize knife skills to ensure consistency and safety.
• Support baking and production to meet visual and quality expectations.
• Maintain aesthetics and presentation reflecting the brand’s commitment to excellence.
• Collaborate with BOH team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
