Job summary

Maman, a French bakery, café, and lifestyle brand, is seeking a Prep Cook/Baker to support daily bakery and cafe operations. You will prepare pastries and menu items, follow maman recipes, and help ensure consistency, safety, and presentation across all menu items.

Join a collaborative BOH team and contribute to delivering an exceptional guest experience through precise preparation, efficient production, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Previous prep cook or back-of-house experience in a café, bakery, or similar fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with pastry preparation and basic baking techniques.
• Strong knife skills and working knowledge of basic kitchen techniques.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pastries and menu items according to maman recipes following portioning and quality standards.
• Perform daily prep tasks such as chopping, measuring, mixing and assembling ingredients.
• Support baking and production needs to ensure items meet visual and quality expectations.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow food safety standards.
• Communicate issues impacting quality, safety, or presentation to the Kitchen Leader promptly.
• Collaborate with BOH and FOH teams to ensure smooth service.
