Job summary

Maman is seeking a Prep Cook/Baker to join our bakery and café team. You will prepare high-quality pastries and menu items, support daily bakery operations, and collaborate with the BOH team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The ideal candidate has pastry experience, strong knife skills, and a passion for quality, speed, and teamwork. Responsibilities include precise prep, adherence to recipes, proper labeling and storage, and helping with deliveries as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous prep cook or back-of-house kitchen experience in a café, bakery, or similar fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with pastry preparation and basic baking techniques.
• Strong knife skills and working knowledge of basic kitchen techniques.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and operational procedures.
• Strong time management, multitasking, and adaptability skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare pastries and menu items according to maman recipes following portioning and quality standards.
• Perform daily prep tasks such as chopping, measuring, mixing, and assembling ingredients with accuracy and efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and follow food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing deliveries as needed.
• Collaborate with BOH and FOH teams to ensure high standards of execution and guest experience.
