Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a Packaging Associate to manually pack baked goods into bags, boxes, or trays, ensuring proper throughput and product integrity on the production line in Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities include visual quality checks, GMP/HACCP compliance, safety PPE, and sanitation. The role requires no degree and offers first-shift hours with OT potential, paid at $18.41–$18.42 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Packaging & Palletizing: Manually pack fresh or frozen baked goods into bags, boxes, or trays at established production rates; stack, label, and stretch-wrap pallets for shipping.
• Visual Quality Inspection: Inspect products on the line for proper size, shape, color, and defects. Immediately discard non-conforming product and notify the operator.
• Food Safety & Compliance: Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP guidelines, and allergen controls; wear all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Line Sanitation: Keep the packaging line, tables, and surrounding work areas clean, dry, and clear of debris throughout the shift and during line changeovers.
• Basic Line Operations: Assist with packaging machinery, including tray formers, baggers, sealers, and metal detectors; report any machinery malfunctions to maintenance.
