Qualifications

• Experience in bakery, food service, or supermarket.
• 2–3+ years of supervision or management preferred.
• Knowledge of baking, food preparation, and bakery merchandising.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, schedule, and evaluate bakery employees.
• Plan daily production based on sales, demand and inventory.
• Prepare and oversee production of breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and desserts.
• Ensure products are fresh, labeled, priced, and attractively displayed.
• Monitor inventory and order ingredients and supplies as needed.
• Control waste, food costs, labor costs, and shrinkage.
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Handle customer questions, special orders, complaints, and custom cakes.
• Set up attractive bakery displays and promotional merchandise.
• Open/close bakery and work with store management to meet goals.
