Job summary

Adams Hometown Markets is seeking a Bakery Manager to implement company standards and merchandising plans within the Bakery Department. You will drive labor efficiency, sales and gross margins in alignment with store goals.

Responsibilities include maintaining fresh products, inventory control, pricing accuracy, staff training, scheduling, and ensuring health standards. A ServeSafe certification or equivalent and about one year of retail bakery experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail bakery experience preferred.
• ServeSafe certification or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 80-85 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains customer satisfaction with bakery products and services.
• Maintain a happy, full, fresh and clean bakery sales floor.
• Order product in conjunction with department and customer needs.
• Follow marketing plan, ensure product freshness and minimize shrink while optimizing sales.
• Collaborate with leadership for business growth opportunities.
• Manage bakery department inventory and rotate products safely.
• Receive products ensuring quality control and proper pricing.
• Train new hires and identify opportunities for advancement.
• Schedule personnel to meet customer demand within budget.
• Uphold safety standards and company policies.
