Insomnia Cookies is seeking an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager in West Hartford. The ABOM will lead core bakery operations, ensure quality and guest experience, and develop the next generation of BOMs.

This role blends hands-on operations with talent development and admin ownership. Responsibilities include scheduling, staffing, onboarding, coaching, and performance feedback, while partnering with BOM and Area leadership to close gaps and maintain operation continuity during transitions.

Qualifications

• 1+ year leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations.
• Strong operational discipline and attention to detail.
• Ability to coach and develop hourly team members.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Ability to perform all bakery roles during peak business periods.

Responsibilities

• Execute core bakery operations including inventory rotation, scheduling support, staffing coordination, and administrative checklists.
• Maintain strict adherence to product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience standards.
• Support ordering, inventory accuracy, and shrink control.
• Assist in schedule creation and labor execution to meet operational targets.
• Lead recruiting, onboarding, and training of new staff, with ongoing coaching.
