Job summary

Sugar Bowl Bakery is seeking a Director of Bakery Operations for our Hayward, California facility. You will serve as the senior operational leader, overseeing production, warehouse, sanitation, safety, quality and cost management to ensure customer satisfaction and financial performance.

Responsibilities include strategic leadership, building leadership bench strength, establishing operating systems, and driving Lean Manufacturing and Operational Excellence across the site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Experience leading large, multi-shift food manufacturing operations.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF and regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to drive safety, quality, service, productivity and financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for Hayward bakery operations to ensure consistent execution and sustainable results.
• Direct bakery operations across production, warehouse, sanitation, maintenance and QA.
• Monitor KPIs, waste, labor efficiency, yields, throughput and OEE; implement corrective actions.
• Lead talent development, workforce planning and employee engagement initiatives.
• Partner with engineering and maintenance to improve equipment reliability and drive continuous improvement.
