Job summary

Whole Foods Market in San Jose seeks a Bakery Leader to oversee daily bakery operations, profitability, and regulatory compliance. You will hire, develop, and coach Team Members, while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining product quality and inventory discipline.

You will collaborate with store leadership to meet sales and labor targets, merchandise assortments, and implement food safety standards.

Qualifications

Retail leadership experience with 24+ months in the role.
12+ months of team leadership experience.
Food safety certification or commitment to obtain within 6 months.
Excellent interpersonal, motivational, and customer relationship skills.
Ability to teach others in a positive, constructive manner.

Responsibilities

Holds ATLs, supervisors and Team Members accountable for delivering outstanding customer service.
Builds a positive work environment of teamwork and morale.
Makes hiring and separation decisions.
Monitors and achieves sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
Maintains product assortment, merchandising, and inventory control.
Maintains collaborative relationships with department leaders and vendors.
Keeps knowledge of competitors and industry trends up to date.
Sets and achieves high standards of retail execution.
Directs Team Members to satisfy and delight customers.
